This has been talked about far and wide this year with the problems Texas A&M has had after they signed the #1 recruiting class this past year. But I've read and listened to a few things that lay it out pretty well and think it's something Auburn and all other schools jumping into the NIL Wild West need to take into consideration.

It's widely thought that this past offseason TAMU just went "star hunting," kinda like a guy on a supermarket game show that just went down an aisle shoving all the highest priced stuff into his cart whether he needed it or not. Several problems with that. One is you don't take into consideration what kind of character or type of player you're getting, or even if they fit into your offensive or defensive system. The other big issue is if you've signed a 5* player to a multi-million dollar NIL deal, he's damn well going to want to be on the field as much as possible regardless if he's ready or not. And investors paying these players are going to demand they see their investments as much as possible too.

Anyway, just throwing that out there. It's been talked about before, but I just hope Auburn knows what they're doing and has their act together and doesn't fall prey to just going out there and buying up the highest ranked players without looking to see if they actually have a role for them with the team.
