I mentioned a couple months ago about my parents moving back to where I am, and deciding on whether to buy the house and let them rent it from me or co sign on the mortgage or what. Basically the thinking is to make things as easy as possible on me in the future, since they're in their 70s. The mortgage broker told them the easiest thing would be to just buy it in their name and add me on the title. How does that work once both of them are gone? Is it as simple as I will own it, or will there still be other hoops to jump through? I've read other nightmare stories on here about dealing with probate. Fyi, there are no other significant assets. They definitely weren't bunker members.
