- On kick and punt return: "Feel way more comfortable this time this year than we did last year." Mentioned names such as Keionte Scott and Keandre Lambert Smith as potential returners, but they have options.
- On getting Towns: "That recruiting process with Towns was probably the most dramatic for any kicker all time." Mentioned the plan was to redshirt him behind McPherson, but now it's up in the air for obvious reasons.
- Mentioned that he truly thinks Auburn has the two best kickers in the country.
- On Jarquez returning kicks: "He's exactly what you want. He wants to be on every unit... obviously we have to work on the workload we put on him." Said that Hunter is willing to play anywhere on special teams and that makes it easier for Burns to sell special teams to younger guys.
