Dunno if these are doable but...
Kill some of the flash stuff - it's erratic and makes the board load slowly and jump the hell all around. You click on something you didn't want to - I'm not patient enough I guess to wait on it to fully load.
The damn jumping around (just got an alert while I was typing), made the post load before I was finished.
2) The alerts - the color could be a little darker for unread posts, and when you click on one unread posts, all of the highlighting goes away. Is kinda annoying to figure out where you where when you come back to the alerts and you had 15 alerts previously. Keep them "active" till you click on the individual alert...
