This is where CFB is headed and Auburn should find someone good and do the same. A public infrastructure with a single person as the tip of the spear who has a vision for the football program. Let the coaches coach and recruit and leave payroll, personnel, media, business decisions, etc to the GM, just like in professional sports. It should allow for smoother coaching transitions and also take burden off of the AD’s office. Thoughts?
