Second time I've been at uat football headquarters this summer. Nothing of note from the first visit, but I picked up a couple of interesting (to me) tidbits this time. As always, nothing earth shattering.

- The question marks at QB are not a front. There is division among the staff as to who should start. However, there is not a lot of "concern". They think whoever they roll out there will be adequate. The guy I was talking to had Alec Morris number 1.

- There is concern at running back. "We're one early injury away from being in trouble and this might be the worst line we've had in 6 years." The terminology is obviously relative, though, as they've had incredible offensive lines over the last 6 years.

- This may be common knowledge to most, and every program in America may do it, but it literally was brand new information to me. bama coaches are on a bonus system for recruits they sign. For instance, sign a 5 star, get $10,000. Additionally, saban matches the bonuses in cash.

- I'm going to try and put this as delicate as possible. Our linebackers coach does not have a squeaky clean recruiting history. I'm split on my feelings because I feel in one sense, having him with us now, protects us from them. On the other hand, they know what he does and could bust him if he's still doing it.

- Loved this. Their offensive analysts have been watching Florida game film since the spring. "They'll (Auburn) have one of the best defenses in the league. Their three best defensive players this year didn't play a down for them last season (Mathews, Lawson, Countess)." That's the kind of respect people have for Muschamp.
