I get the 16 vs 16 matchups. IMO that's how it should be, but why are 10 seeds this year, and 11 and 12 seeds in years past, having to play their way in?
Since we're questioning the committee this is my question, because if we were a mid-seed having to play our way in while 11-16 seeds and other 10 seeds are guaranteed a spot in the 64, I'd be pissed.
And if these are bubble/last four in teams, why are they seeded at 10? Look at Virginia. If they are paired against a mid-major like Colorado St., what makes the committee think they deserve to face a 7-seed if they had won as opposed to a 1-seed.
I expect some smartass comments, but this is something that has perplexed me since the tournament was bumped to 68.
