HOOPS Some thoughts on the non-con schedule

Auburns non conference schedule finally dropped today and I have some thoughts…

• Opening with Vermont is tooough. They’re usually a trendy upset pick and they usually are pretty competitive in their tourney games.
• Road game at Houston is going to be an extremely tough ask but that’ll be a great experience for them to get on the road against a great team early in the season.
• Kent State can shoot but Auburn should handle them.
• Maui followed by going to Cameron Indoor. My Lord.
• Richmond is never a push over but they lost quite a bit of production from last year’s NIT team.
• Purdue and Ohio State both feel like wildcards because of what they lost in the off-season.
• Overall, unreal non-con schedule. Give Bruce Pearl and Mike Burgomaster a ton of credit.
• Have said it before and will say it again: they would not have scheduled like this if they did not think incredibly highly of the roster they have coming back.
