Offensively, UF averages 82.9 points per game. They get there through volume shooting. UF tops the SEC in FG attempts. This allows them to rank second in 2 pointers made in spite of being 9th in 2 point FG percentage. UF does this by leading the SEC in total rebounding. Meanwhile, UF makes a modest 8 threes a game, good for 6th in the league. Not surprisingly, they made 12 in their win at Rupp.

Our 2 point defense has been solid. We just need to rebound well and chase them off
the 3 point line.

Defensively, well it would appear that the gators don’t play defense. UF is worst in the league in opponents 2 point FG attempts and 2 point FG made. Interestingly, they defend the 3 pointer well allowing the 3rd fewest threes in the SEC.

I’ve often wondered if a team can win by scoring only paint points and free throws. This might be the game to find out.
