Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile all time their bowl games for the same day. Two of them -- in Birmingham and Mobile -- feature teams from in-state, crimping the potential tourism dollars ballyhooed from bowl advocates. The one in Mobile features the hometown South Alabama Jags, even being played in their home stadium, so those kids got to go nowhere for postseason play.
