With all of the after-the-fact stuff that has come out of that UF team of that time, it really shows what Mullen and Tebow were up against with other players and coaches, and the climate that Boom inherited and defiantly claimed how much he cleaned up in his exit PC. All of it true.
So why would UM defend this coach? He is obviously not stupid enough to risk his career on a so-so coach, just insecure and anxious enough to protect someone who is linked to people who can help him win. Same reason he let his UF players run amuck to the point he had to run away because he had created a monster he no longer could control.
