Colorado legalizes marijuana, in violation of federal law, and the federal government does nothing. Some states define marriage as between one man and one woman, and the federal government intervenes and changes state law.
Try and put aside your religious and/or political beliefs for a moment and look at these two issues and answer the following question: Can the federal government justify these two seemingly inconsistent positions on enforcing the law in respect to state sovereignty?
While I understand that state laws must be Constitutional, someone please explain the Constitutional "right" to marriage versus the Constitutional "right" to fire up a fatty. I'm sure there are much smarter men and women than myself on the Bunker, but this sure seems capricious at best and unconstitutional at worst.
(This question was posed by our local District Attorney and I thought it would be interesting to get the Bunker's take)
