I did some checking around this morning. Here's the story on the 14 signees from fall. Auburn has added three in the spring and they're also looking for a catcher:
RHP Will Morrison from Cullman. Stats may not be complete but he was 5-1 with a 0.90 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 39.0 IP as a senior acc'd to max preps. Junior: 10-1, 0.87, 77 K in 72.1 IP.
LHP Kyle Gray from Blinn CC. He was 7-2 with a 3.33 and 92 K in 70.1 IP as a sophomore. Mainly used as a reliever. Was named All-Region and All-Conference.
2B/3B Rankin Woley from Chattahoochee Valley CC. Hit .460 with 27 2B, 11 HR, 93 RBI. Region 22 Player of the Year. Played at LSU as a freshman last year before transferring.
Auburn is going to have a lot more quality depth in the pitching staff next season, a whole lot more, even if one or two of the signees go pro. Woley looks like he can step right in and start at 2B or 3B and bring a lot of pop to the lineup. FYI: 2B Luke Jarvis is a senior and 3B Brendan Venter is expected to be drafted and sign a pro contract. AU is looking for a catcher because they also expect Brett Wright to go pro.
As far as the earlier signees, RHP Blake Rivera had a great sophomore season. He was the Region 22 Pitcher of the Year going 10-0 with a 1.75 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 67.0 IP. He's one that could get drafted today and sign with a MLB team. I'd put it at 50/50. He's a weekend starter if he suits up at AU. LHP Garrett Wade is another signee to watch in the draft although it looks fairly good for him coming to Auburn (65/35). And there could always be a surprise or two.
EDIT: Blake Rivera went at the top of the 4th Round to the San Francisco Giants and is expected to sign a MLB deal. Not set in stone but it would be a big surprise if he's in Auburn this fall.
