Shaky performance for AU/Quality win for Clemson?

How is it that Clempsun beats UL by 3 because of a missed field goal in a game that was close the whole time and it's viewed as a quality road win. But when AU dominates for the majority of the game and let's them get 2 late to let them get it to 7 and it's a "disappointment"?
I don't understand the logic these "experts" use.
