** Kiffin opens talking about a challenging week with the passing of his father, Monte Kiffin. He said his dad was a Superhero to those he touched during his lifetime. "He loved everyone and tried to help everyone."
** Exciting time at Ole Miss. Lots of players decided to return after a good 2023 season. Also added some really good players in the portal. Have a chance to have a really good team but still a lot of work to be done. Kiffin refers to Saban's "rat poison" when it comes to preseason expectations.
** Kiffin talks about the team needing to come together. "There's s a ton of work for us to do on and off the field."

** Previous experience of bringing in big portal classes has helped him build chemistry for this year's team.
** Kiffin endorses new rule allowing analysts to also coach on the field and/or recruit.
** Jaxson Dart finished the season very well. He would have a 99 leadership rating. Needs to continue to improve his decision making and taking care of the football.
** Kiffin says there's been a length and size issue when playing against Alabama and Georgia. Has worked to improve that at Ole Miss and they're "going to look better coming off the bus."
** Important to have balance between high school recruiting and the transfer portal. Says you have to be flexible. Some years you need to sign more or less from both.
** The SEC is very challenging. You get more electric atmospheres you have to play in here.
** Was asked about Arkansas LB transfer Chris Paul and likes what he brings to the defense. Said they ran the ball better against the Hawgs when he had to come out of the game last year.
** Can't contain outside talk just got to continue to address it with team that it doesn't mean anything.
