*** Auburn coach Bruce Pearl will be at the World Championships in Spain to watch Team USA U17 and his five-star commitment Austin Wiley. Pearl is expected to attend the medal rounds, which begin Tuesday. Team USA has the No. 1 seed from Group A and is scheduled to face Argentina in the first round of 16. Argentina did not win a game in its preliminary bracket.

*** Nearly 100 high school teams were on campus this weekend for Pearl's Team Camp. Among the large group of schools were Newton (Ga.), Pebblebrook (Ga.), Homewood (Ala.) and Pelham (Ala.). The four schools had several Auburn targets, including 2017 four-star shooting guard Elias Harden (Pebblebrook), Newton's 2019 point guard Ashton Hagans, Homewood 2018 forward Trey Jemison and Pelham's 2017 four-star forward Alex Reese. Also at the camp was Canton (Miss.) 2018 power forward Javien Fleming, who received an offer from Auburn last week.

*** Auburn has two commitments in its 2017 class - Austin Wiley and Davion Mitchell - and is looking for 2-3 more. Auburn would like to have the class finished before the early signing period in November. There are several targets on the board for the last 2-3 spots, including Reese and Westlake (Atlanta) four-star forward Chuma Okeke, Hale County (Ala.) four-star guard Herb Jones and Spain Park four-star guard Jamal Johnson. Auburn High three-star forward Garrison Brooks also stopped by camp and continues to be a target.
