Also provides some context to some of the struggles and tendencies we saw from the offense and QBs in particular yesterday.

This is just my opinion and conjecture, but the primary weakness in his offense based on precedent is when a DC or D personnel puts his gameplan in a bind it can render it completely ineffectual (see 2014 Ark & 2015 UF). I think Hugh’s insistence at Austin & Nix’s involvement in the offense & gameplanning is to counter this tendency (which Hugh seems to be self-aware of based on some of his presser comments). If Hugh is in a rut & unable to break through, he has the option to divert to either of them mid-game to try & instigate offensive production as each playcaller will have their own tendencies.
