During his weekly radio show at Bob's Victory Grille in Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village, Alabama head coach Nick Saban got a little heated when asked about the Crimson Tide's struggles in the kicking game in its inaugural game of 2015.

Place kicker Adam Griffith missed two field goals, one from 44 yards out and the other on a 39-yard attempt, in the team's season opener against Wisconsin, while punter JK Scott averaged 36.8 yards per kick on four punts, more than 10 yards off his stellar average from a season ago.

"We definitely need to improve on special teams," Saban said. "But look, we have two capable specialists and I'm just going to tell everybody, y'all need to get a positive attitude about our punter and our kicker, aight? Because all of your negative thoughts and all your, I hate to say it, I'm not going to say it. You know what I want to say. It starts with a B, the second word, with an S, about what you say about these guys really affects them in a negative way. It really affects them in a serious way.

"So you can do what you want to do, but I love them both. I love them both, I rub their neck every day, I believe in them, I trust in them. They're going to do a better job. And the biggest problem is people who criticize them and don't think they have confidence in them, then the players are going to feel the same way."

The Crimson Tide will kick off its home slate of games on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 3 p.m. CT against Middle Tennessee State.
