Things have been happening today. I posted about this deep in a basketball thread, but wanted to give this its own thread.
• Jaylen “JP” Pegues, formerly of Furman, committed to Auburn today. He will play PG.
• Pegues’ commitment essentially ends Auburn’s dalliance with point guard Myles Rice from Washington State.
• I am working under the assumption that Johni Broome will be back next season. Dylan Cardwell already has announced that he’ll be back next season. Auburn will be set at center.
• Wing Chris Moore will return for next season.
• At this point, Auburn is looking to add a backup PG and a 4. Both vacancies are likely to be filled deeper into the portal window.
• Auburn already has been in contact with Clemson F RJ Godfrey, who played at Clemson and now is in the portal.
