Officially on vacay this week (work always shuts down a week in July, week at Christmas). I didn’t book any big getaways this year because of the risk of having to work shutdown. Free as a bird now though.
Here’s my plan:
Head down to St Augustine tomorrow (or late tonight) Airbnb is booked for Tues and Wed nights. Went when I was a kid, I think I’d appreciate it more now that I’m ahem, oulde.
Then I’m leaving out and driving up the coast. That’s one area I’ve never been so advice is welcome. I’ve been to Savannah once, but it was a turn and burn. I wanna come back through NC and maybe cruise through Asheville. Got friends near there I wanna visit. Plan to be back to HSV Sunday sometime.
I know that’s a lot of driving and not vacationing, but I enjoy a long drive.
