Do people usually get the flu this early? I thought it was usually in January/February.
Flu season is year round. So for instance as flu season wraps up in the northern hemisphere it then ramps up in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa.

The flu is part of the coronavirus family. So is the normal cold and a few other upper respiratory viruses. The flu is still around, just being grouped into the 19 category.

Anything that remotely resembles Covid is being reported as Covid, giving the appearance that normal flu cases are down.

I can't imagine why there aren't more confirmed cases when getting tested with "flu-like symptoms" automatically requires a quarantine right now with a draconian contact tracing routine that stresses people out for weeks.
No, its likely there aren't more confirmed cases because "the COVID ate the flu".
As someone who has had both, Covid and the flu... give me Covid every year pls.
