Riddle me this - if AU had lost a close one AT bammer 2010 (Camback game), would AU have still made the BCS title game?

To jog memories, 12-0 TCU was ranked 3rd behind Oregon and Auburn following Auburn's stunning 24-point 28-27 comeback win which was the biggest blown lead by bammer in Iron Bowl history.

What intrigues me and is perhaps unanswerable, is whether enough voters would have been fair after Auburn blows out South Carolina in the SECCG, and the BCS final poll keep a 12-1 Auburn with one hell of a resume and a Heisman QB a nudge ahead of TCU. There was some palpable national media hate for AU because of the lies about Cam being paid (when the only evidence was of Hunchback's runner trying to buy Cam for $180K).

I think Auburn just may have kept the 2nd place spot to face Oregon on the strength of SEC clout, and the only blemish being a close loss to the GOAT in a road game, but it would have been close. Notably, after the beatdown of Spurrier's South Carolina in the SECCG, Auburn finally JUMPED Oregon to the No. 1 ranking, while neither Oregon nor TCU had to play a conference championship game in 2010.

What say ye? It interests me mainly because Auburn would have STILL won the national championship despite bammers slobbering about their Iron Bowl win.
