I know a lot of you are probably sick to death hearing all the rants and arguements about gun control the past couple weeks. I didn't post this sooner because I was avoiding all the drama myself.
I have had some conversations with my family and the one or two people who tolerate me enough to say they are friends and we all have this question, well, we know the answer we came up with but I'll post the same question.
I grew up and still live in rural south Alabama. The gun-free school zones weren't a thing until I was in high school. How is it that every student and faculty truck in school parking lots from the 70's or earlier, up until the mid 90's had gun racks on the back windows and 80% had a loaded shotgun or rifle on them, and the truck probably had at least one other rifle or pistol in it as well. How is it that none of those guns took flight out of those vehicles and unilaterally mowed down everyone in sight?
