@autigers07 @jhead34382 @jolivesr @Jeffrey Lee feel free to get ITT and comment.

A real bummer today missing out on Green, but is what it is. I feel like we didn’t press on other good SG options early in the year due to feeling good about Jalen. Looking back Bruce probably wouldn’t have made that mistake, but hindsight is 20/20 ($1 to Pat Dye).

Two for sure spots remain. We need a SG/CG and a best available.

SG/CG: Looking like the SG/CG will come via grad transfer , possibly Justin Kier of George Mason. He averaged 15 PPG in 2018-2019 and only played in 9 games this past year. He’s a 35% 3pt shooter and his game is very Samir-like.

Best Available: SF/PF Greg Brown and/or SF Jon Kuminga, Dylan Cardwell

Looking like Greg Brown is leaning Texas or G league at the moment, so that is a slim chance. It’s been said my National guys and some of our basketball experts on here that we have a legit chance at Jon Kuminga should he re-classify. How good of a chance? Would need @jhead34382 to comment. He’s good enough to average 15-20 PPG and would be our go to scorer and the perfect duo between him and Cooper. Miss out on Brown and Kuminga, enter Cardwell.

If we want to be a slam dunk NCAAT team again, I think it’s important we land SG grad transfer and Kuminga.

Looking at 2021 targets that I think AU has a chance with (their 24/7 composite ranking listed). Hard to say how many spots we will have this far ahead, but safe to assume 3-4 spots in this class between SRs and attrition.

#1 ranked, SF Jon Kuminga. Will likely reclass to 2020. One of the very best athletes to come out of high school the past decade. The real deal. If he stays in 2021 class, our chances probably aren’t great.

#5 ranked, PF Jabari Smith. Will have to battle G league and blue bloods but he likes Auburn and Bruce.

#15 ranked, PG Kennedy Chandler. Duke leads the CBs and we will also have to fight off Tennessee, Memphis, UK, etc.

#19 ranked, PG JD Davison. Alabama and Memphis lead. Unbelievable athlete. Gonna be tough to land him I think.

#29 ranked, SG Matthew Cleveland. Georgia kid, good size at 6’6, good athlete, can shoot it. Perfect for our system. Can we beat out the blue bloods? He’s visited AU a few times and really likes AU. Got a shot here.

#49 ranked, C Adama Sanogo. Big Center prospect, teammate of a Jon Kuminga. May reclass to 2020.

#66 ranked, SG Chance Moore. Another Georgia kid. Bruce probably likes Matthew Cleveland more at SG, but he would be a nice backup option.
