I didn't have faith in putting this on the Bunker, so I'll ask it here--
My wife and I had this discussion the other day and I thought it was very though provoking. We had just heard a sermon about how fake the church can be and how it leads people to be judgmental and not being open with each other about their flaws and shortcomings. It somehow got us talking about how people should always be encouraging and be happy for people with their flaws that find redemption and it led me to the thought of Jeff Dahmer. He supposedly asked God for forgiveness while he was in prison. Undoubtedly he was a monster, but how does it make you feel that if he was genuine that he'll be in heaven? I think on one hand it speaks to the incredible grace that mankind is afforded, but it's very hard to let go of the atrocities he committed.
