University of Houston graduate transfer point guard Ronnie Johnson was in Auburn over the weekend on an official visit, sources confirmed. Johnson is scheduled to graduate from Houston in May. He transferred to UH after spending his first two years at Purdue.

Johnson, who stands six feet tall and weighs 180 pounds, played in all 66 games during his two seasons with the Boilermakers. He transferred to Houston and sat out a season, and then had 22 steals and averaged 9.4 points per game as a redshirt junior for the Cougars. Johnson plans to transfer after graduating and will be immediately eligible.

NOTE: Johnson is Auburn's No. 1 target at point guard and the Tigers have made him a top priority. Auburn is cautiously optimistic about its chances after Johnson's visit over the weekend.
