... and am once again reminded how few movies there are that do justice to a good book. As I was reading last night the Hat Creek gang had to hang one of its own, Jake Spoon, for falling in with a murderous bunch of thieves, and as cool as that scene was with Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones at their best, it falls far short of the book.
So, has there EVER been a movie that did the book(s) justice? For me the closest has been 'Hunt For Red October.' Of all the Clancy movies, this one was closest, but still fell short.
