OM is putting on the full court press trying to get him to commit to them before he potentially flips to Auburn.
They used former Colonel Reb QB Bo Wallace to start the smear campaign against Freeze (a QB that was praising and defending Freeze last season-- the meathead forgot to delete all those tweets).
Then they asked a fan-reporter/friendly media member to raise his hand at Lane's press conference and ask him about Freeze throwing players under the bus, and Lane stood at the podium and went on and on about how he supports his QBs no matter how many interceptions they throw. Did Freeze throw his QBs under the bus? Sure, if you only heard the one soundbite and not the part before where he was giving blame to the coaches (including himself).
But this is all orchestrated in order to "show" Deuce why he shouldn't go to Auburn, and why he should go play for the wonderful man in Oxford. Kudos to them, because they won't be called out on it. I have no idea if it will work, but I can promise you one thing, the so-called Auburn fans on twitter retweeting and crying about Freeze's comments are only helping the enemy. Yeah, we should have a better record, but you can't build something without growing pains, and for the first time in a very long time we have a coach that understands that recruiting is the lifeblood of the program, and is doing an excellent job at getting us back into contention for championships.
