Random thoughts: Looking back, Tubs was unreal in his ability to scout/develop DL talent.

Just thinking about our current lack of depth and various defections/misses on the Defensive front.

We were pretty spoiled through the 2000s with the yearly studs we seemed to get, many of whom were 2-3 stars coming out of High School....

DeMarco McNeil
Spencer Johnson
Reggie Torbor
Pat Sims (still in the league)
Senderrick Marks (still in the league)
Quentin Groves
Antonio Coleman
Stanley McClover (regardless of his douche status now)
Nick Fairley (who I believe was committed prior to Chizik arriving no?)
Jay Ratliff
TJ Jackson
Stump
Marques Gunn

That's a ton of really high quality SEC linemen we had back to back to back. Seemed like every year we had an All SEC level DE paired with an All SEC DT or more.

We do have some studs now...but it isn't near the quantity and quality we did back in the Tubs era, and that's with a definite bump in "stars" recruiting wise as of late.

Just random musings on a Monday.
