Thinking about where all this goes, or better yet, ends up. I know for a fact one aspect realignment that the commissioners are thinking about and collaborating on that will come out eventually, but where we are today is: SEC, BIG, B12, and everyone else. In regards to the everyone else …
One thought I had today that would be cool, IMO, is to create what amounts to an Academic League. Take Stanford, Cal, Wake Forest, Tulane, Boston College, the Service Academies, and the SEC and B1G agree to let Vandy and Northwestern go to the league. There may be others, but you get the point. Of course Vandy and Northwestern might not be too excited about it, but oh well. I think it would be cool and allow for a level of competitiveness in these programs that currently doesn’t exist. Just a thought…
