The AU family lost a great one last night. My father, Danny Speigner, passed away peacefully at home last night around 8pm. He was 2 days from the 13th anniversary of his heart transplant that blessed us in so many ways. He, alongside his brother and my late Uncle Jimmy, protected Pat Sullivan’s blindside. He was the 1970’s Team of the Decade LT, but much more importantly he was the greatest husband to my mother Debbie and dad that ever lived to my brother Jamie and me. He’s truly the greatest man I’ve ever known and I’m so very grateful that I’m the lucky one that got to call him Dad. The world was a better place with him in it. Please call your dads today and tell them you love them because you never know when it will be the last time you have that chance.
