Got a standard 8-foot concrete pool deck around in-ground pool. It’s about 10 years old and was really poured poorly. Cracks, not level in areas causing water pooling up in areas, etc. We are looking to renovate, fix the problems and expand the concrete area overall. This is not my area of expertise at all. Talked to one guy who says we have to tear it all up and start over which is not what I wanted to hear. My worry is compromising the walls of the pool number one and number 2 is cost. For just the repour and new concrete with finishing and stamping with this guy would be $12/sq foot. At a little over 2,000 sq feet, we are looking at $25k in just concrete. This sounds astronomical to me. Anybody on the board specialize in this area that might be interested in quoting a job like this?
