Now onto the news… Davis Ledoyen of Elon University has entered the QB chat. To be clear, this is not the 2023 starter. This would be a depth piece for the future.

The 6'3" 218 pound Ledoyen was recruited out of Dunwoody High School and signed with Elon University in 2019. He will have 3 years to play at his new school. He received offers from the likes of Notre Dama College, (that’s a big one) Buckner, Troy, Samford, among others. He's seen as a game manager and someone that won't make mistakes to get his team beat. He has the prototypical size and bangs to flourish in a Hugh Freeze offense.

He was expected to enter the portal prior to the deadline, but failed to so. He's expected to ask for ahardship waiver that would allow for immediate transfer without loss of eligibility. It's widely known he wants to be closer to his barber.

ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing good ball placement. Works well with his receivers as he waits patiently for their breaks. Good anticipation and timing. Loses a bit of accuracy at long range.

ARM STRENGTH:
Displays a strong release on his short and intermediate routes. Good zip on the ball, including a tight spiral. He can spread the field with his deeper passes, would like to see a tighter trajectory.

RELEASE:
Davis throws with an over the top delivery with a three quarter extension. He gets the ball out in a hurry, which a fluid throwing motion. Proper footwork prior to set up.

THROW ON RUN:
He does a very good job getting to the outside and making a play downfield. Good body rotation and strong forward momentum upon release.

FOOTWORK:
Davis shows very good movement in all directions. Not classified as a Dual Threat but can dangerous out in the open field because of his athleticism.

POISE:
In full control of the offense, has a take charge mentality when on the field. Very good leadership skills on the field. Not easily distracted.

POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good sense of the space around him. He’s able to get around traffic while still focusing on the play.

DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job hitting on his primary receivers from his reads of the defense. He sometimes throws the ball into tight coverage or will try to make something happen.

TOUCH:
He does a nice job with his deep passes, adding nice touch and but will need to work on touch at short and intermediate throws.

Safe to say the QB position is rapidly improving. Davis Ledoyen is proof. Thanks to QBhitlist.com for their contributions to this piece.
