We talk to seven players today. Click refresh, will continue to update...
ANTHONY SCHWARTZ
** Been in Tampa training. Randy Moss worked with him. Improved a lot including his change of direction.
** Feels like he brings speed to table and is fastest guy in football. Feels like he has a high football IQ and can do what's asked of him.
** There was more pressure because there wasn't a combine for him. Felt like he handled it well.
** Has been working on running cleaner routes. Wants to show he's more than a deep guy or track guy. He's an all-around NFL receiver.
** Watches Stephon Diggs a lot because they're similar in size.
JAMIEN SHERWOOD
** Most teams told him they wanted to see him move and run. Teams weren't sure if he is a box safety or backside linebacker. Sherwood believes he can do both.
** Doesn't compare himself to any other safeties but likes to watch Jamal Adams and Kam Chancellor. Both big guys. Sherwood weighed 216 today.
** Today Schwartz proved how fast he was. He was blazing on first one and the second was "just don't blink." He's a great player. Will be a great piece in NFL.
** Sherwood says he's an enforcer, likes to hit people. Likes to be a ballhawk too but he's bringing it to somebody every play even if it's an offensive lineman.
** Getting those double-digit tackle games is just me playing football. Will get offensive player on ground no matter what even if he has to grab his hair.
** Not worried about 40 time, stumbled on first one.
** Have the longest arm for a DB in over 20 years according to a scout. Sherwood says he's always had the longest arms and wingspan. Uses them to be a handyman around the house.
** I can bring a lot to NFL team, great communicator, leader. Just want to play football and win. I'm just someone you want to coach and be around. Like to bring excitement to teammates and have fun.
** Chris Thompson is a big safety as well. He has all the potential in the world. Just needs to work to get better. Going to be a great player when his time comes. I think he'll be 3-and-done as well.
K.J. BRITT
** Most teams looking at him as a Mike linebacker.
** Said you can't see the relationship he had with his teammates or the way he cares about ball on film.
** Feel like he's learning what to do in coverage. Knows that's one of the parts he needs to take his game to the next level.
** On Pro Day: "There's no pressure. Either you've got it or you don't."
** On last season: It was really important to be with team. Still love Auburn and what I've helped to build here. Felt it was important to stay and be a part of the team. "That's who I am."
** Says Owen Pappoe is about to take a next step. He's the type of LB that everybody will want.
** Senior Bowl was important for process. "I believed I could put my talent on showcase against the best." Took advantage of great opportunity.
** On AU's new staff: Haven't talked to a lot of the coaches. Coach Harsin said he was glad to have me back. His teammates enjoying new staff and working out.
** Led on and off the field. Going to do everything right, be on time, treat everybody right, will be accountable to myself. Best RB played in college was probably J Swift or N Harris. Says he can definitely play in a 3-4.
** I think Pro Day went well, improved in field drills. New what 40 time was going to be so it didn't shock me.
** Coach Travis Williams believed in him before he believed in himself. T-Will always pushed him. "Sometimes I didn't like it ... but I had to get better."
** To future AU players: "Put your pride aside and come in ready to work." Find your reason why.
** On having grit: "I'm humble and it's mainly from who I serve." Having his family pray for him gave him the mental stability he needed to do what he does.
SETH WILLIAMS
** Goal was to show athleticism and good route running. “I feel like I did great. I showed everything I needed to show.”
** Didn’t feel pressure today despite not having an NFL Combine this year.
** On decision to leave Auburn: “It was kinda a tough decision … asked a lot of people.”
** Having a good battle like he did at South Carolina helped make him better.
** Wants to show that he's an all-around receiver.
** I feel like I'm ready. SEC has a lot of talent he competed against.
** Feels like he's been training well and will be prepared for NFL.
** On playing in NFL: "I'm not scared of any DB at all. I'm looking forward to it."
** On not having elite separation at top of routes: "They can say it, they've seen it on film ... but I've been working on it ... and I feel like I'll be prepared for it."
** To young WR's: "Don't be scared to make plays."
** I feel like the WR's coming back have a lot of talent. We left a good mark for them. They're going to come in ready to work.
** Here at Auburn we didn't run a lot of routes so I can't say how diverse my route tree is. Ouch.
JORDYN PETERS
** "Overall I did a great job. I could have run my 40 faster, but I'll work with what I have."
** On the Hula Bowl: "It was an amazing experience, being able to out there and play the sport I grew up loving. I would encourage anybody trying to get to the NFL, maybe not the highest guy coming up in the draft like me, to get into a game like that."
** What kid of a safety does he think he is: "I feel like I model my game around Eddie Jackson, but I also like watching Kam Chancellor. If I have that opportunity to take someone's head off, I do it."
** How does he keep himself safe while making big hits: "You can't have a big hit every play — it's not possible. It's all about who you are a player, how your body and it you can get your body into the right position to make that kind of play."
** On training with Eli Stove: "It's been really cool, actually. How grateful we are to have each other through this practice. Having that guy here I've been with for four years ... someone who has been with you through thick and thin who will go through the thick and thin. It's like having a brother with you."
** On his versatility: "I want to be known as a versatile person, player out there on the field. That's the key to longevity. I always try to learn as much as a I can, be ready as much as I can."
** On Seth Williams: "A person that size moving that fast, jumping that high ... you have to be there everyday to see it. It's day in and day out. He's a freak of nature."
** On Jamien Sherwood: "Any team that picks him up will be getting a huge plus."
** On Chris Thompson Jr.: "He's an incredibly smart player. Just seeing that from a freshman coming in, that's big. That urge to be a student of the game. Not only the mental part — he has the size. The sky's the limit for him. I can't wait to see him."
ELI STOVE
**On being versatile: "Slot, outside, play a little bit in running back, go in motion and the get the ball, play special teams. I can do everything on the field."
**On route: "My best routes are the out-breaking routes and the deep ball, the fade ball. I kinda model my game after Jarvis Landry."
**On his dream matchup: "It'd be my old teammate Carlton Davis. I'd like to go against him again."
**On his Pro Day performance: "The process has been a little stressful. They wanna do go on Pro Day. I did OK. I think I can do better on the vert and the 40." (Says teams were looking at him for his route-running rather than his numbers.)
**On being consistent: "I'm bringing consistency and versatility."
**On stuff being affected by COVID: "It didn't really affect us much. We were in Ft. Lauderdale. Nothing really stopped us."
**Which QBs does he want to catch passes from? Stove says Russell Wilson, Tom Brady and Pat Mahomes.
**On Malcolm Johnson: "I think he's a little bit between me and Flash. He played the last game and I think he did pretty well."
**On Seth and Flash: "With Anthony, speed guy. They want him to go deep. He'll have a special teams role, too. Wants to have an impact in everything. In Seth, it's a guy who's physical. He wants to make those big plays."
CHRISTIAN TUTT
**Why leave?: "Me and my family, we were kinda looking at other places. But there aren't other places that would let me come in and let me do what I want to do, play nickel. (His father) wanted him to go back to school and finish up that degree, but he left it up to me. I prayed about it for weeks and weeks. That's how it worked. I'm here."
**Timetable?: "After that meeting, after they beat Mississippi State, we had a meeting in the indoor and Malzahn said it was his last day with us. A day or two after that, I went up and met with Steele. They knew what was fixing to happen. I felt like I was ahead of the 8-ball, before they let go of literally every coach here."
**Where does he still need to improve for the NFL: "I've still got a lot to develop. I'd say my press technique. Here we were playing off man. Just getting used to it. Working on little detailed things that can make my game better."
**On his Pro Day performance: "I was a little disappointed today, especially with he position drills. The DBs were basically doing linebacker drills. We only did two real defensive back drills. I trained three months for that. I was going off the script they were required to do. I was trying to showcase my talents coming out of my breaks, flipping my hips."
**On what he brings to the table: "A lot of versatility. A lot of savvy. They're going to get a hard-working guy, I keep my head down and my nose clean."
**On Ladarius Tennison: "He's a hard-worker. He does everything Coach asks him to do, full speed, 100 percent. When I got hurt, he came in and did a great job. That's a lot to ask for a true freshman. He's got great leaders around him. He's going to be good."
