In the ballot box, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE 17 idiots running, vote for your top 3 in numerical order. And if that those can earn a partial delegate but it will help shape the election better. Everyone likes Kasich for example but nobody voted for him except myself in Alabama. People voted for Rubio for example or Trump because they thought he could win.
So with a top 3, you could have blocked out that clown show Cruz by listing your top 3 as
Kasich
Rubio
Trump
For example.
When voting like this it is like the BCS and you can narrow the group much faster. Forcing one to make one damn selection helped some people, Cruz, greatly. And really killed Kasich/Rubio.
You could have voted:
Carson
Cruz
Paul
as well. This helps educate you as well on the electorate. Like okay, the Carson supporter is fine with Cruz or Paul should Cruz fail.
With the current system we are left with 2 polarizing divisive people and one guy that could really win the GE (Kasich) but can only win at a convention. My belief is if primaries went this way Kasich would be in 2nd place right now.
