Watching people laugh at the presidential candidates got me thinking. On one side there's a bombastic arrogant casino/strip club owning pretentious asshole leading the pack. On the other side you have two corrupt, demagogic socialists running one of whom is clearly a felon who's lived most of her life believing she was above the law. The other is merely a waddling insane fool who's a true believer of continually failed policies and who spent his public life openly supporting communism and various dictators.
People love to poke fun at the candidates, but it's really not so much a commentary on the candidates as it is on the American people themselves.
It is a reflection of our own intelligence, character, and history of rewarding failure and corruption in politics. There clearly is a majority of voters in this country with no regard for the economic future of it, the welfare/future of their children, or the character or integrity of the people they vote to represent them.
Congrats people, we get the kind of government we deserve.
