My oldest son woke me at 1:30 this morning to let me know that there was a terrible car accident last night. One of his classmates, friend, and cross country team member (senior) was killed. My younger son also lost one of his best friends and classmate in the crash. They have been best friends since he was 2 1/2 and he was a "junior to be" classmate. My wife and I are getting ready to wake the younger son to share the horrible news.
Please keep both families and the school community in your prayers. Great families and the boys were well loved. It is going to be long hard road for everyone.
I can't image losing a child. I feel sick. I have known David since he was a baby, was his cub scout leader, took him on elementary school field trips, they had birthday parties/sleep overs, church, etc. Great kid, very smart, friendly to all. Great loss for all.
