Any of you wonder how the hospitalization and infection rates are now “at or surpassing” the numbers from the initial onset, but it’s not being villainaized or reported like before? Wonder why that could be?

In answer to your question ... it is, but our focus has been shifted ... and on top of that, Americans are simply tired of COVID.
Tired of hearing about it, tired of masks, tired of vaxx/anti-vaxx, tired of CDC, tired of Fauci, tired of life in general being interrupted. Our society has the attention span of a housefly, but this one jumped the shark a long time ago right or wrong.

Yeah, I’m sure if we had a different President the left wing media would have shifted the story lines away from COVID due to public interest fatigue.
That said, Biden has done the unthinkable and created a disaster perhaps more compelling and newsworthy than a worldwide pandemic.
Or how Florida has the best vaccination rates in the Southeast, but gets crushed by the media daily because of cases.

That’s because it’s the right leaning anti vaxxers fault, now that there is a left leaning president in office. The left leaning anti vaxxers, in the previous administration, suddenly have no issues with the vaccines. It’s pretty simple, the whole thing is theatre. Every “event” is just a political opportunity to position your party. For example, now that Trump isn’t in office, he suddenly would be okay with Muslim refugees coming to the US? All of it is pretty comical once you stop taking it so serious.
Biden didn't create a disaster. He simply walked out of the breach.
