Folks act like we've been going down and playing Vandy the last 8 trips down there. The worst LSU team in those 8 trips was a 9-4 LSU team going against a 3-5 terrible Auburn team in Chizik's first season.
2001 - LSU wins the SEC and finishes the season 10-3 and ranked #7
2003 - LSU wins the NC and finishes the season 13-1 and ranked #1
2005 - LSU loses in the SECCG and finishes the season 11-2 and ranked #6
2007 - LSU wins the NC and finishes the season 12-2 and ranked #1
2009 - LSU finishes 9-4 and ranked #17
2011 - LSU wins SEC and loses in the NC to bammer and finishes 13-1 and ranked #2
2013 - LSU finishes 10-3 and ranked #14
2015 - LSU finishes 9-3 (Should have been 10-3, on game got cancelled) ranked #16
I'm not sure we have been favored in any of them. And we damn sure didn't have the better team in any of them other than maybe 2013, and we had not quite figured it out yet with a brand new head coach and QB. I say all of that to say this. This is NOT the same LSU program that we have been accustomed to seeing. They are terrible. The offense is awful. The offensive staff is bickering like the Nallsminger days. Their O-Line is decimated. The fans are on the verge of throwing in the towel and the team ain't far behind them. They cannot stop us, nor can they score on us. As long as we don't turn the ball over, it's going to get ugly for LSU and this dumb ass streak will be over. It doesn't have anything to do with luck, voo-doo or anything other than 7 of those 8 LSU teams were really really good.
