Many of you are aware that I and a number of others here are vocal advocates for an organization called Prescott House. PH is a child advocacy center in Jefferson County whose purpose is to restore hope and begin the healing for children who have been physically or sexually abused or have been witnesses to violent crime. It’s heartbreaking that the work they do is necessary but there is no question that it is. If most here were aware of the stories of abuse that walk through their door, we would be in the streets hunting people down. They come along side children whose worlds have been shattered and they begin the process of picking up the pieces. They begin to help these precious children see that tomorrow may be better than today. They help them see hope instead of hurt.
Prescott House is a non profit organization who is completely dependent upon corporate and individual donations along with grants. I know that there are individuals and corporations who need to end the year by finding a charity to support. I’m posting this to ask, if you are one of these people or if you know someone in this situation, that you would consider Prescott House as the beneficiary of your end of the year donation. I can assure you your money will be used to change the lives of children whose lives have been torn apart. Restore hope, offering help to the most fragile among us, is a great way to spend our money. I hope you’ll join me in ending this year by supporting Prescott House.
