Anyone else see the narrow short view of corporations like Target taking a PC stance on the transgender bathroom?
Here's how this will play out...
They make a PC stance to appeal to.3% of the population. Yes, less than half of a percent.
They piss off the majority of the population who don't even view it as an equality issue, but a safety one. Parents don't let their kids go to the bathrooms at Target and they save some money on toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Probably enough to offset the boycotters. Call it even money.
Then there are a few incidents. Some pervs pose as transgender and eventually there's the inevitable. Someone flashes a child or worse...
Lawsuits happen.
Then a few "true trans" claim that Target didn't let them in because they were ultra sensitive to the incidents.
Lawsuits happen.
Target is now in a no win situation.
They make a proclamation that every new target will now have 3 bathrooms so they remain PC and appeal to the huge revenue source of the .3%.
They are a for profit company so of course, the consumer has to pay more for their goods to offset the legal fees and added construction cost.
