2022 chart
very good at 20+ yd outside right
main weakness is the intermediate throw espeically outside right, everything else aint that bad
2021:
weirdly he was better outside left in 2021 but still favored outside right overall.
same thing though intermediate pass (10-20 yards) outside right seems to be main weakness. everything else not that bad
everything looks good just struggles to complete passes under pressure
above average at all the concepts, a little weak at screen passesss (when watching longform highlights he sometimes underthrew those screens, not sure if thats whats being graded)
heres those passing depths. very good deep ball, weak at intermediate passes (improved in 2022 but took a step back in the other spots)
qb comparisons:
AUBURN QB: Bo Nix 2021
same thing where struggled under pressure and screen passes were a weakness. main difference here is the medium passes from bo were excellent. thorne with a lot more big time throws but also more volume.
Stidham 2017
the other one thats pretty close. stidham significantly better at screen passes and medium passing depth though
PHILIP MONTGOMERY QB:
bryce petty was the closest with similar profile. didnt realize how elite bryce petty was when being blitzed in college though also very good at medium depth. same struggles under pressure, weakness at screen.
HUGH FREEZE QB:
went with 2020 malik willis here. 2015 chad kelly is pretty close but chad kelly/bo wallace's medium depth passing were both in the 90+ range and deep ball not as great
think willis's first year is closest as a psser even with his medium depth passing that high. small weakness at the screen passing too
just thought this stuff was interesting with comparisons being thrown around, let me know what yall think/if you want me to look at other qbs. pff data goes back to 2013-14 seasons
