Brothas and Sistas, I've been outa the 'inside info' bi'ness for some time, as my one foray into thankless insider work was the Rich Bisaccia hire ($1 to Takeo), which alas, proved no longer duration than a cup 'o coffee in the Prevail Coffee Shop in Awwbern. So thanks in advance for moving the inside information needle from its current muddled, ambiguous, propagandized, and confusing state to something at least mildly coherent.

We were told by normally credible folks that AU-NIL (Rick Davidson's original org) had been taken over by people who are well-heeled, know what they're doing, and are serious about making Auburn one of the highly ranked NIL players for football. Fact checkers, weigh in here. Name names. Who is the new AU-NIL brain trust? Or do they prefer to be 'silent shareholders' and if so, WHY? Trolls and wankers have at it too ITT.

Then we saw the peculiar "Plains NIL Club", which sports a glossy enough web presence, yet to my eyes reads like a couple of Auburn seniors launched this AU player-centric business model, with a purported complete dependence on the average Auburn fan "subscription model", perhaps without the pricey middle man Davidson had. i.e. "AU fans, If you pony up $50 a month to Plains NIL Club, Tank, Owen, and Calzada will be your on-line homies during the season with exclusive streaming video content about the game during the season." Mmkay. If that works, great, but I'm dubious whether the game changing cash beyond a Milo's Tea model can be funded. YOKE is the platform, don't know jack about them. Rhymes with "Hoke", so . . . Show me the money, Plains NIL Club.

Meanwhile, word on the street is that PTB like Rich McGlynn and his wing men are pushing an ultraconservative 'big toe barely in the NIL water' philosophy under the guise of yet again protecting Awwberns from the NCAA boogie man. That being so, methinks Rich M. doth protest too much, as no small chunk of his influence $$ at Awwberns is plain and simple, Compliance.

So thanks for sorting it all out, because we have yet to see tangible evidence of burnt orange and navy blue NIL cash making it rain for the 2023 signing class. (Though it did cross my mind that the 'war strategy' might be a 'shock and awe' approach, in which Awwberns NIL people coordinate with our recruiting, and you see a Tsunami of commitments by our 4-star targets in a compressed 3-5 day period concurrent with their LARGE NIL deals.) But there I go again being all sunshiney.

GO.
