OT - Truck A/C Problem

I have a 98 Chevy Z-71 and when I turn on the air the blower doesn’t come on. I just swapped out the resistor and it came on briefly but then quit working. I checked the fuses and they’re good. Is there anything else I can check before I drop some coin at a mechanic? TIA
