Trying to plan a couples ski trip with some friends (5-8 couples most likely). Thinking about Breckinridge or Tahoe but have a few questions for the pro's.

What are some of the best places/resorts for a trip like this?

What time of year is considered the best time to get best rates/deals?

Any tips for special deals on lift tickets, ski rentals, etc..?
