We recently lost another member of our AuburnSports.com family to suicide. He was "just a lurker," but he was active on the Brain Drain and really enjoyed reading what you all had to say. He also loved the Auburn Tigers.
I am not going to identify this person out of respect for his family. I hope you understand.
He was in his late 30s. He was a very popular physician who helped a LOT of people through the course of his career. I know this because dozens of them posted on his obit page about how he'd improved their lives, given them their lives back, all that. Our guy was a hero. An actual hero. And he still felt so down and so alienated and so hopeless, you know? Even Superman has his demons.
That makes four members (that I know about) who have died by suicide since I took over as commodore in 2012. That is four too many. I "knew" three of them personally. They were good men. Good Auburn men.
