Wife planned a trip for my birthday (well a week early). Got in town an hour ago. Hanging out, walking around. Eating some steak and seafood for dinner somewhere (reasonable priced recs appreciated). Going to Jazz Fest tomorrow. Primarily to see Elton John. Not my first, but my first in over a decade (since sophomore year at Auburn) and my wife's first. He's headlining the main stage tomorrow and playingn from 4:40-7.
Pretty dang excited.
And a full weekend away from the kids (thanks to my mom for watching them) is pretty great. I love my kids but we almost never get time away.
Any other Bunkerites going to be there tomorrow? Meant to bring my Bunker shirt, but forgot. Golden opportunity missed...or something like that.
