In the last couple of years I have made more than one post here about how we are amidst the 50th anniversary for what was arguably the zenith for modern cinema. It was the late 1960s when the effects of the French New Wave combined with contemporary trends and technology to give us New Hollywood. That emergence of great cinema was at its height in the early '70s.
