Found a "The Firearms Encyclopedia" from what looks like 1942 (copyright 1951-1959). It's a large book with a ton of information....it shows hundreds of pistols, rifles, and cannons disassembled (like a owners manual) and includes descriptions of each one. Sections called "Determination of the type of pistol employed from an examination of fired bullets and shells", "Patents", "Description and rules for the management of the United States Rifle", "The Microscopy of Small Arms Primers", etc. are included...........pages are in very good condition, but cover is falling apart....any ideas
