These have been hot topics on the bunker over the last month so let's discuss.
Let's just say that the majority have been dead wrong on a lot of these topics.
1. bama.
I think it's safe to say that they once again they are the front runner to win the west. It's been discussed and joked about on the bunker about how they have no QB and will go 8-5 this Season. Not happening. Sucks but not happening. They have a game manager just like they do every year and another defense filled with the most talent in the nation. Also, kiffen is a great OC and maybe GUs could steal a few screenplays from him
2. Jeremy Johnson
Jeremy ole Jeremy. Some have made this cat out to be a one and done first round draft pick. As of right now, at least we know Gus will probably have a returning starter at QB next year. Im really missing Marshall right now. Unacceptable play from any QB. Gonna be a long season if he continues to play like this. Also, I would like to see DC coach QBs.
3. The running backs
It's hard to make an opinion on this with the injuries but there seems to be some that really really want jovon to be the man. Maybe it's bc they have been in the jovon bandwagon for so long and have assured us he's the man. However, Payton barber is the man imo. He runs strong and I thought he did really well blocking.
4. Gustavo
As jwalker said something just seems off here. Not sure what it is but it's something. His play calling is like my wife's mood swings.....all Over the place. Can we not even get the fake on the jet sweep correct. It seemed like the ball almost hit Ricardo or was snapped after Ricardo passed....rendering that fake useless. It looked like my sons 7 yo football team running the plays. Everything just seems chaotic when we're on offense.
At lest out defense looked better for a half.
And injuries.....damn we are so unlucky. Does it have to be our 2 most important players on defense.
